What would you do without Netflix?

We don't watch TV. We have Netflix, but we don't watch that very much. A few weeks ago I was watching something during the kids' naps...just chilling. I started to think of all the things I could have  accomplished if I hadn't just wasted 45 minutes watching Netflix. I jokingly thought to myself (yes, I joke with myself...and I find myself hilarious) about hiding the remote so I would get more done during the day.

Well...

The remote has been missing for about two weeks now. I've looked everywhere and can't find that thing! I'm starting to wonder if I did actually hid the remote from myself...and then forgot about it??? That would be a typical "TJ" move right there. :/

Anyway, without the TV remote I have come to the conclusion that I WAS watching too much Netflix. Even only 30-45 minutes a day adds up! That's more than 5 hours a week...and that seems crazy to me.

Sometimes I feel ok to watch something during the kids' nap time. I'm tired too, I just want to chill. And MOST of the time I'm sorting/folding laundry or editing photo sessions while watching, so I don't feel too bad about it.

BUT...what could I have done with an extra 5 hours last week?

I could have organized my closet (my husband is jumping up and down just at the thought of that, I'm sure!).

I could have done  art projects with my kids.

I could have played the piano (which, I'm ashamed to say, is collecting quite a bit more dust that I had planned).

I could have written letters to friends I haven't seen in a while.

I could have worked out more! Or baked more! Or cleaned more! Or TAKEN 5 ONE HOUR NAPS!!!

It's March, but I'm adding another resolution for 2014.

"DO MORE. WATCH LESS."

What could YOU do with an extra 5 hours a week?
